First impressions are positive following the start-up of the international campaign for the event

 The international promotion campaign for Ferroforma 2015 has officially begun. The event is scheduled to take place at the Bilbao Exhibition Centre on May 26-29, and this year strategic changes have been made: it has been opened up to trade users from large industrial companies. This change is also reflected in a redesigned image based on a new slogan and a single brand.

The Ferroforma name will thus be used commercially for the whole of the international hardware, DIY and industrial supplies tradeshow, along with the message “tools that build industries”. This slogan is designed to sum up the new-look event simply and succinctly. The idea is to offer more for companies as a whole, with synergies between sectors. The logo prepared for this new approach takes the form of a nut made up of a wide variety of tools.

The venue chosen to launch the campaign was the Eisenwarenmesse tradeshow in Cologne (Germany), the leading event in its field. Staff from the BEC Communication, Visitors and Commercial Departments travelled there are recently along with the BEC’s agents in Germany and Italy to present the main lines of the changes made and share opinions with trade specialists.

Holding Ferroforma in parallel to two other industrial tradeshows – Cumbre (the Industry and Technology Summit) and Fitmaq –, the sectoral breakdown of the exhibition into two distinct areas – Ferroforma Industry and Ferroforma Home – and the incorporation of new sectors such as logistics, industrial maintenance, automotive supplies and home textiles received the generally very favourable welcome.

Meetings held with leading European exhibitors, associations of manufacturers and importers and organisations linked with leading groups and purchasing centres, cooperatives, DIY superstores and stockists in a number of countries including Germany, Canada, the USA, Italy, the UK, the Czech Republic and Turkey as well as Spain have left no doubt as to the interest sparked by the new project. Publishers of international journals specialising in hardware, DIY and industrial supplies who regularly work with Ferroforma all coincide in stressing that giving industrial customers more importance is the right move in a sector that is redirecting its activities in search of new customers. In the course of the week many regular visitors to Ferroforma and potential new purchasers dropped in at the event’s stand to learn more about the setup for 2015 and request detailed information.
